Outdoor Christmas lights add magic to the garden
Whether you live in a country where it snows at Christmas time, or in a country that is hot
and humid at that time of the year, outdoor Christmas lights will add a certain magic and a lovely
festive mood to your home and garden. In fact these lights will add magic and festivity to your home and garden at
any time of the year.
While there are various lights that can be used outdoors, the latest trend in outdoor Christmas lights come in
the form of solar-powered string lights. The idea is similar to old fashioned string
lights used to decorate Christmas trees. But the beauty of these lights is that they are made by wiring light
emitting diode (or LED) bulbs in clear plastic tubing that is both easy to install and to maintain. You can string
up the lights inside or outside, in any weather conditions, without the fear that water will seep into the casing
and short the lights out. Better still, solar powered Christmas
lights don’t cost anything to run, because power from the sun is free. The powerful solar charger even works
when the weather is overcast, although the brighter the day the better the battery will charge.

Good quality solar string lights have a light sensor that switches them
on at first light in the morning and then off when the sun goes down. They are supplied with a solar panel that can
be wall-mounted or attached to a ground stake. Mounting hardware is supplied, so you don’t have to buy extra bolts
or hangers. All you do is read the manual and follow the instructions. More on solar string lights and solar rope lights
The LED bulbs that are used to make outdoor Christmas lights come in different colors –
red, green, blue and white – adding to their magical appeal. There are also different lengths, for example a 23 ft
LED string lights has 50 bulbs and a 39 ft string 102 bulbs. That’s a lot of
bulbs, and so you can expect a lot of light.
There are many ways that you can use outdoor Christmas lights. For example you can wrap them around trees or
columns, or line pathways and walkways, doorways or even windows. You can use one string on its own, or a whole lot
together for effect. Christmas lights aren’t limited to Christmas use either.
These new world outdoor lights may be used as a landscaping tool throughout the year. Or you might decide you want
to keep them and only use them for special occasions, for parties and other celebrations for instance. Some
innovative businesses even hire them out with other party products.
You don’t have to use string lights on their own either. There are many other types of solar garden lighting
that you can combine them with, including floodlights, lanterns, floating solar lights and spotlights. Lots of
popular accent and landscape lights are solar powered, and like string lights, they use LED bulbs to light up
steps, paths, decks, patios and other outdoor areas. So you will see that you can use outdoor Christmas lights to
create magic every day. More on outdoor animated Christmas
